Hello Followers,
Luv-em-up (LEU) Camp is coming closer and closer to the day...October 30th. We still have plenty of things to think about and plan for. We might not have a bus to I will need to plan on rides for all that are heading up the hill to Julian to where I live. It is a great weekend and fairly crazy. :) We still need to make lists of medication, organize staff, get helpers, and more. Those of you who have worked at a camp before know that it takes a lot.
When I was at LEU this last Monday I was really blown away. The Chargers were playing against the Broncos during church. I myself am not a huge fan but there are some that attend church who are die hard fans and looooove the Chargers. I thought some would not go to church that night because of the game but man was I blown away. Many who are die hard fans were still there. I don't know if they have Tivo and can record the game or just think church is more important. I was really challenged with what I think is important and what am I willing to do for God. Here I am there to minister and once again (surprising I know) I am being ministered to and challenged. :)
Quick update on the youth of Julian. I had posted a couple of weeks ago that I will be working more with the youth of Julian. This weekend we (being Josh, Mary, and I) have a youth service where the kids band will play a few songs, we will have a readers theater, and then we get to share a few things about the youth group like calendar events, etc. People in my home church will get to see some of the kids that have been coming. :) This will be a good time.
Have a great day whatever you are doing and wherever you are.
I really liked this verse that someone else posted so I am going to post it too. Hard but needed
“My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that th power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
