Day in the City

Today was a blessing.  Rain. Work. Rock Climbing with Robin (my girlfriend) and two of my house mates. Sushi (never thought I would like this food but it was super good). And now in a warm house on a couch.  God's provision and blessings come in so many different ways.  I pray that we see what He is already doing from His perspective because His love is so great.

Mucha ayuda! Mucho amor! Muchos de los niños! (Lots of help! Lots of love! Lots of kids!)

Tonight we had a theme of "Extreme Mexico" at our Hillside Hang-Out for the youth of Julian.  So many people came to support reaching out to youth.  Man did I need it and every other youth on the planet when we were growing up.  What a great opportunity and scary place to be an influence.  We had Carne Asada, home made tortillas (we made them ourselves), Foosball Tournament, Piñatas, and a good time.

It was a blessing and I pray that the kids sense the Love that God has for them.  We also provide opportunities to learn new things like guitar, art, sewing, and maybe some other things.

I pray that we remember the Creator and sustainer of all things during this season of thanksgiving and Christmas.  Remember to live for Him today! Don't wait until tomorrow!

With love,
Aaron

October 2011...Wow!

I am reminded that the only life I have to experience is right now. It is going by soo fast but I am blessed to have this moment.

Life is good. I am healthy, have provisions beyond my needs, have a girlfriend as of a couple months :) and still trucking. Sometimes I feel as though I am just doing the same things over and over again in order to maintain equilibrium. Trusting in God is really a necessary thing and such a good thing. He really holds everything together.

Quick overview of things I have been up to:
Youth Group - We have begun a Hillside Hang-Out on Friday nights from 9-11pm for the youth of Julian. It has really been a good thing. Lots of variety and help. We have guest speakers, extreme nights like Extreme Jeopardy, opportunities for kids to learn skills like guitar, art, sewing, making tortilla's and hopefully many more.

Luvemup - I still am serving adults with disabilities in a church San Diego on Monday night's. There have been some staff changes and this has been really positive.

The Julian Grille - I am now mostly waiting tables at the restaurant in Julian where I live with 2 other couples.

Spending time at church - doing sound at church

Robin Jenner - Spending purposed time getting to know and also growing closer to my girlfriend. We have set aside Tuesday's as a day for that so that has been a blessing.

More to come and hopefully some pictures too.
